Father Dan's Eviction

Opus Bono Sacerdotii
Work for the Good of the Priesthood

Coming from a poor diocese in the USA, Father Dan retired many years ago with no pension and no Social Security (he opted out after being ordained) to his parent’s home located in what he calls “the ghetto”.  As a pastor of a poor parish there was always someone else in more need than he, so all his savings went to feeding the less fortunate.  The small amount of money he received in stipends for supply work wasn’t enough to pay for the upkeep on the house, and when he was no longer able to offer Mass because of health, his home fell into serious disrepair.  Unfortunately, his home is now condemned.  A retired bishop friend of his suggested he contact us for help.

Would you be so kind as to consider helping Father Dan with a prayer and a donation so that he can afford to move into a small efficiency apartment in a building that provides assisted living for the infirmed?  They require the first month’s rent ($450) and last month’s rent plus a security deposit of $250 to move in.  He will also need help with the monthly utilities, which are estimated at $125 per month.  The need is desperately urgent at this time!

You can make a donation on-line at www.opusbono.org or mail your donation check to:
