Mary Vitamin for March 26th
Topic: After the Resurrection
Quote:
"He left her some twenty years on earth, that we might learn from her to adore Him perfectly."
Meditation:
"How, then, do we act with a friend? Do we always speak to him of the present? Certainly not! We recall past memories, we live them over again together. When we want to pay a compliment to a father and a mother we recall their love, their unwearying devotedness shown us in our infancy. Similarly, Mary during her adoration in the Cenacle reminded Jesus of all that He had done for His Father's glory, all the great sacrifices He had made, and in this way she participated in the Eucharistic grace."
St. Peter Julian Eymard, Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament, 10.
Resolution:
Today I will imitate Our Lady's conversation with Jesus. Just as She did, I will review with Him in conversation one of the holy mysteries of His life. I will choose one event now (birth, public ministry, or Passion) and I will remember to visit with the Lord spiritually while I am busy with my day. I will just lift my mind to these thoughts, even if briefly.
Marian Vow:
With each conversation with the Lord, I will begin by remembering my Marian vow of unlimited and total consecration to the Immaculate. It is Our lady who teaches me and brings to me Christ.
I give this resolution to the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Thanks be to God for graces received.
