A Date Which Will Live in Infamy

I was only four years old on this infamous day, but I do remember living through the War years and especially the day the War ended. We must never forget all those who gave their lives for America and the world to be free again. Let us thank God for the graces He gave us during those dreadful times. Our Lady of Fatima predicted this War in 1917 when she said, "This War will end (WW One) but a greater War will come where millions will be killed, the good and the bad." Our Lady also said that "War was a punishment from God for the sins of mankind." Let us pray that through the intercession of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, the world will be converted and that another War will not come upon us!

"A Date Which Will Live in Infamy"

General - Pearl Harbor attack

Pearl Harbor, December 7, 1941

Today, the Thomas More Law Center remembers the Japanese surprise attack on Pearl Harbor.  On that day, which President Franklin D. Roosevelt proclaimed “a date which will live in infamy, ” 2,402 Americans were killed and 1,282 were wounded.  We remember and honor them today, as we honor those brave soldiers who served in WWII to protect our Nation.
