Quote:
St. Alphonsus di Liguori
"Mary certainly could not be tormented at death by any remorse of conscience, for she was always pure, and always free from the least shade of actual or original sin All her thoughts, desires and affections were of and for God alone; she never uttered a word, made a movement, cast a glance, or breathed but for God and His glory;"
Glories Of Mary, (Tan Books: 1977),  374.

Meditation:
St. Alphonsus di Liguori
"Death is called a passage; for by death we pass from a short to an eternal life. And as the dread of those is indeed great who die in doubt of their salvation, and who approach the solemn moment with well-grounded fear of passing into eternal death; thus, on the other hand, the joy of the Saints is indeed great at the close of life, hoping with some security to go and possess God in heaven. … And yet [the saints] were not certain of being in possession of Divine grace, nor were they secure of their own sanctity, as Mary was."
Glories Of Mary, (Tan Books: 1977),  374-5.

Resolution:
 "For God alone"
I will say this today, when I am going about my day. I will think of the Blessed Virgin Mary's peaceful passing; how she was prepared for death by her life of good deeds and prayerful love of God.  If I spend every step and every breath for God in imitation of the Blessed Virgin then, I too, will be prepared for God.

Marian Vow:
Father Stefano Manelli, FI
"The Franciscan who has the Marian vow can repeat with St. Francis: "My God and my All!", and with St. Maximilian M. Kolbe: "My Immaculate and my all!"
The Marian Vow of unlimited Consecration to the Immaculate (Immaculate Mediatrix Edition: 1996), 28.

I give this resolution to the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Thanks be to God for graces received.
