Mary Vitamin for March 19th
Topic: First Dolor of Our Lady, the Presentation
Quote:
"As often as I looked at my Son, as often as I wrapped Him in His swaddling-clothes, as often as I saw His hands and feet, so often was my soul absorbed, so to say, in fresh grief; for I thought how He would be crucified."
St. Alphonsus di Liguori, The Glories of Mary, (Tan Books: 1978), 423.

Meditation:
"We must expect also that it will be in some measure with us as it was with Mary; our sorrows will be fed even by our joys. God sends us joys before sorrows, to prepare our hearts; but the joys themselves contain prophecies of the coming sorrows."
Father Faber, The Foot of the Cross, (Tan Books ), 103.
Resolution:
I will pray my Rosary with more attention today. I will try to keep Our Lady company in her sorrow.
Marian Vow:
"After examining at the end of the day and finding one had never or hardly ever, thought and worked in terms of unlimited consecration to the Immaculate, means having spent a day 'without meaning' this surely cannot be called a day of grace."
Marian Seraphic Pathways, Directory #41
I will renew my vow as a docile instrument of Our Lady when I pray the Rosary.
I give this resolution to the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Thanks be to God for graces received.

Please no anonymous comments. I require at least some way for people to address each other personally and courteously. Having some name or handle helps.
