Years ago, I had a good friend who was blind. He was a happy go lucky guy, who was very devoted to Jesus and Mary, and accepted his cross. Blindness makes you humble. He used to ask "what color socks do I have on?" so as not to cause people to make remarks about what he wore. He needed guidance too, from crossing the street or just traveling. Most of the time he was escorted here and there. But his faith was strong even in his affliction!
The people in Chorazin, Bethsaida and Capernaun, called out by Jesus seemed to be blind, even though they had eyes to see. What does it take for a atheist or non-believer to see the light, the truth, and the way? Here were miracles before their eyes and stubbornly they rejected them. Amazing, but what about us? Do we need a miracle to believe? Are we so blind too that we don't see God's hand in everything around us?

My blind friend was always smiling because he had God inside him; he had faith and he knew that those who helped him cross the street were sent by God as his guides!
Lord Jesus, I thank You for all those who have helped me "cross the street" in my spiritual journey, especially Our Lady, the Saints, and the Angels, especially my Guardian Angel!
