[MaryVitamin] Our Lady's constant protection

Mary Vitamin for June 24th
Topic:
Our Lady's Constant Protection

Quote:
St. Maximilian Kolbe
How many favors from our Immaculate Mother have been recorded on yellowed parchments, on heavy "folio" documents from past centuries, in numberless books and pamphlets? And to go even farther, how many more there are which were never consigned to paper and never will be.
Fr. Anselm Romb, OFM Conv., ed, The Kolbe Reader, (Marytown Press), 51.

Meditation:
St. Maximilian Kolbe
But why go back so far into the past? Let us cast a glance within ourselves. Is it not true that every time we offered ourselves with our whole hearts to the Immaculate Mother of God and our mother, peace always came flowing back into our hearts? Is it not true that when we were assailed by temptation and did not fail to turn with confidence to Mary, like children to their mother, and to cling tightly to her hand, our will felt itself supported and did not yield?
Fr. Anselm Romb, OFM Conv., ed, The Kolbe Reader, (Marytown Presss), 51.

Resolution:
St. Maximilian suggests reflecting on the times our Lady came to help. Today, in order to be filled with confidence in Our Lady’s intercession and to listen to the advice of St. Maximilian, I will remember the different times Our Lady came to my aid when I called upon her. I will look into the past and see that Our Lady has always been my Mother, even when I didn't realize it.

Marian Vow:
Importance of missionary activity
St. Maximilian made "bringing the Immaculate to the world" a priority. He did this through printed media. One of the magazines published by St. Maximilian was called the Knight. In one year, the magazine publisher received 5,445 thank you letters.  The Knight was an effective missionary tool.

I give this resolution to the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Thanks be to God for graces received.
