Some pilgrims began their way as early as last night, and spent the night on the mountain. It was cloudy with a slight drizzle throughout the night. Early in the morning the sky cleared and dawn began to break over the village of Medjugorje. Rosaries and singing went on throughout the night and into the morning. Around 8:20 am, Mirjana arrived in anticipation of Our Lady’s apparition. Our Lady came around 8:45, and the apparition lasted about 6 minutes. A ‘Wow’ Message from Our Lady
In the dark, at 3:30 a.m. in the bedroom of the home in Alabama where Our Lady has appeared to Medjugorje visionary Marija so many times, this short prayer was prayed before this second of the month message was read:
“My Lord…please…give my heart wisdom and understanding of humility…”
Naturally, to read Our Lady’s words and see the word “humble” twice in the first sentence, the word “heart” in the second sentence, and then “humble” a third time in the message is moving to one’s heart, having just prayed for such. At the same time, Our Lady wants to connect with all of us in order to “…make you capable of recognizing God’s signs…” These encounters come upon one as a sweet gentle breeze, but with the impact upon the heart as a mighty wind.
Our Lady desires strongly and urgently, because of the signs of the times, to show you the Truth. She desires this so that you can display Truth with your life and in humble love, especially to those who “seek their truth in darkness of lies.” Everyone has their own truth which they believe, but not everyone has Truth. There is a great battle in our midst. You must understand Truth and then live it in such a way as to witness Truth in your life. The weapon, the most powerful armament to have in your life is Truth presented with constant and unwavering patience and boundless love. The contemplation of a personal message given by Our Lady through Marija on this 24th anniversary coming up this October 6, in which Our Lady said in part of the message, to “live in humility,” adds particular potency to today’s message. The October 6, 1986 message has been in the heart, these days, for reflection and renewal and is a sign to you that humility is a keystone for anyone wishing to enter into the life God has for you. When we approach Him as the nothings that we are, the contrast of His holiness can then shine upon us making us truly see what we are, the worm within us, and thereby we are led to be in awe of His love that He calls us His sons.
The following must read was written eleven days ago, on September 21, 2010 by A Friend of Medjugorje for Caritas of Birmingham’s monthly newsletter called Words of the Harvesters. It is a preface to Our Lady’s message given “today” October 2, 2010. It is a must read because Our Lady mentioned the “darkness of lies” and also “truth”. What is truth?

Never before have so many lies been put forth in society than in our time. Distortions of the truth, from the news, advertising, consumerism, politicians, the government, educational institutions, the money system, relationships and a thousand more things which could be named, the lie of it all abounds. If you scoff at this statement, you are very clouded in your ability to see what is going on around you. To the degree one looks with the “glasses,” known as Our Lady’s messages, to judge the condition of man’s present culture and where it’s headed is to the degree you will see the lie of it all. Where is the truth? Pontius Pilate asked Jesus, “What is truth?” Our Lady has told us what is truth. Our Lady said:

The absence of truth means there is an absence of God in the world. This holds true for the Christian’s heart as well. Many Christians, Our Lady says, live like pagans.
1984–1985
Therefore, many Christians do not have God in their hearts in the first place, and therefore, do not accept truth, despite the multitudes who would believe that they have truth. Because truth holds together and builds culture, untruth leads to the culture spinning faster and further apart, heading it towards disaster. As culture falls more towards lies than towards truth, it changes into a civilization. Civilizations are what we look at as people in the past. All cultures which turned to lies became civilizations. Our present civilization is just such—a civilization which is without a future. It is no longer a culture built on truth, which was what caused it to thrive and grow. Rather, we have become a civilization based in lies and, therefore, we are in decline. The culture is dying, as the judgment of truth is against this present generation’s wayward ways. How can it be said as full truth that our civilization is without a future? The judgment of truth is the judgment of God. Jesus is the only future. If God is Truth, Jesus, Son of God, is Truth. It is Truth, Our Lady Herself, who said Jesus is the only future. Our Lady said:

The world is rejecting Jesus. It is happening through the courts, the choice of entertainments and lifestyles, in government and politics. In virtually every aspect of society, Jesus is being rejected. But Truth’s light will drive away all darkness. Being that the world is in darkness, it is, therefore, headed for a crash. Though at the moment this is prophetically stated, the present way of life of this society will become known as a civilization that joined the many others of history. Yet the moral decline of those past civilizations did not reach the measure of depravity we, in our time, have. A grossly erred civilization built on lies cannot, will not, nor has ever withstood the forces of confrontation when truth was laid in its path. The stone wall of truth crushes that which runs into it. This civilization is headed straight for the wall of God’s truth. When God visits the earth, He actually comes among His people. The confrontation between the two conflicting sides will result in only one being victorious. It will be a clear victory. The track record of survival of all civilizations in history who pit their lies vs. truth is “0” victories. When God comes among His people, His track record of truth vs. lies is 100% victorious. When evil matures to the point of no return, history shows that God’s decisions are decisive.
The Messenger of God comes among His children. God tells the Messenger what to say to His people. The Woman tells us God’s message, His desires, His plans, His warning of satan who will rob you of the joy of life. Our Lady said:

By contrast the voices of society tell us satan’s message, satan’s desires, satan’s warning that God is the one who will rob you of the joy of life. Today, September 21, 2010, as this was being written, we were faxed a report from a supporter that a bureau made up of economic academies declared the 2008-2010 recession is officially over! Do you believe this? Do you believe it because this is declared by the “Learned” who are known as experts? Or does the Holy Spirit tell you something else than the academies? What does Scripture tell you? It tells you this is another lie, a lie to make you not sure of the way Our Lady is calling and guiding you in – a change of direction. Our Lady said:

The lie is to convince you this civilization is recovering, so just relax. We are going back to the economic days of 2007 — Boom days! Yes, the academic bureau panel said there are still difficulties ahead, but the recession is over!!
We tell you it cannot be over, it is impossible. How can it not be over? How is this impossible? Our Lady’s messages and the Scriptures show it to be so. When there is a spiritual recession, it will result in a recession of the world’s well-being. You will not, you cannot be in spiritual decline and the civilization and its other elements prosper. The way of life is intrinsically connected to a good or bad well-being, depending on the moral condition of society. This is why we must oppose the acceptance of sin in society and in our laws which would protect sin as normal behavior. For example, it is not accepted of those who claim a right to run a red light, that they should have the freedom to do so. Why do we not allow such a right? What if they say: “I cannot help it. I confess I was born a red light runner. I, therefore, want the public to accept me for who and what I am.” Would this be absurd? Of course it would. But far more absurd is to accept and give rights to immoral behavior. Throughout our culture, there are agendas set in motion with countless efforts to force society to accept as normal behavior, abnormal behavior. This always, always leads to the destruction of the culture, turning it into a past civilization, if there is no public resistance and the reversing of these agendas and laws. Many Christians think: “Well, if this group or another group wants the right to live sin, they should have that right. It’s their business.” Many Christians say, “Who am I to say others cannot be socially accepted if they are living in sin?” Then who are you to say a stoplight runner, who believes it is his right to run red lights, should not have that right? Of course, you would say, “No, you have no right even though you believe you should have the right to run a red light.” But why? Because there are things that are right and wrong by nature. There is a black and white difference in being right by nature as opposed to being wrong by nature. There is no gray zone. In fact, as clear as this example is as to the damaging consequences of being a red light runner, this example still leans more to a gray zone, when compared to the sinful behavior that many Christians are giving way to having protected in our law and culture. In this latter scenario, there is no area of grayness.
Studying history, the prevalent immorality cultured in society is shown more dangerous than people who began running red lights as their right. Running red lights would hurt or kill some. But public acceptance of sin and allowing it to enter the life of the culture, without resistance and stopping it, leads to the whole public being hurt and killed. God’s judgment visits not only those who choose to live depraved lifestyles, but also those who accept it into society. Do you not get it? Do you not see the lie? Do you not see the truth? You cannot live, go to church and yet accept pagan ways in the culture without the whole civilization dying. With acceptance, even though you do not agree with the sin, you become an accessory. The attitude that says, “Who am I to say to another, we will not accept blatant sin in the culture,” will cause you to be judged with the sin.
So, what is truth? All that is of God. So, what is the lie? All that is of satan. We cannot accept, as a culture, by or through apathy, the change of common law that would allow new trends or new protective laws which sanitize sins. To do so would make us a people traveling the path that would lead into a stone wall of truth, wrecking civilization, as once was said, “into the trash heap of history.” Our Lady is coming, as God’s Messenger of truth to give us warnings from God to come back to His way, His commandments, His love, His mercy, and His forgiveness. For those who do not, a stone wall is around the curve.
You will be receiving in a week or so a very important announcement. The Fifth Report Update of Retooling the Tabernacle of Our Lady’s Messages. The Retooling is a massive plan for the inculturalization of Our Lady’s messages throughout the world. It is the most important spiritual project in the world of the Medjugorje Movement. The results of the Retooling will impact the whole world. The timing of this large project, to culturalize the message around the world with the written word, is to give “how to’s” through the message to transform and birth new cultures which will rise up out of the “trash heap of history.” Paralleling this at the same time, the written messages will be the means which will annihilate present civilization into the trash heap of those societies who fell throughout history. Though many will not fully grasp what is written, the going away of life as we know it, and how crushing it will be, cannot be measured or even imagined by all in the present. The destruction of the present and the birth of new cultures will experience the labor of birth in very painful ways. All that can be said is, now is the time. Now is Her time, and all who contribute to Her efforts will walk toward the light of truth. It won’t be found in other religions. While respect for other religions is a Christian tenet, we cannot deny Our Lady’s words to them.December 25, 2008
All else, all other religions, all movements, sects, and ways will fail. Why? Because Our Lady says so.

Please be in serious prayer about the 5th update. Of all updates, this is the most important and one which you will find more interesting than the other updates in bringing Truth to the world by bringing His Mother to the world.

Our Lady speaks of victory in Her message today. She said: “…I will triumph…” In order to have “victory” and to “triumph”, it means that there is a battle, in which one side is defeated while the other is victorious. In the above article, it speaks of the necessary death of civilization that will pave the way for Our Lady’s way recreating the culture that will bring in a new springtime of the Church. We see a great parallel between what Our Lady said in Her message today and these thoughts She inspired in the above writing. For that reason, we encourage you to take the time to reread both the message and this article several times together, to gain greater insight in “recognizing God’s signs” in “the present time.”

In light of this connection to Our Lady’s October 2, 2010 message, we think you would be very interested in the free Retooling update which speaks about being an apostle as Our Lady mentioned in Her October 2, 2010 message today.
Join the Caritas Community in Their Annual 9-Day Bread and Water Fasting Novena - Oct. 25-Nov. 2, 2010
For the 9-day fasting novena you will be assigned a single day of 2011 in which your fast will be offered to bind satan from his activity for our Nation and the world. Today, October 2, 2010, Mirjana enters into prayer within herself as the crowd grows silent. Seeing Mirjana’s reverent composure, those around her become recollected as well, in anticipation of Our Lady’s visitation.
The eyes surrounding Mirjana, suddenly move to look at her face when her sudden animation and joy alerts everyone of Our Lady’s presence.
Our Lady speaks of truth and the darkness of lies in Her message given today to Mirjana, October 2, 2010. A Friend of Medjugorje, in his writing, “Whose Opinion is Right”, states: “Today, ‘reasons’ for doing something are led and completely dominated by feelings. It is supposed to be the opposite. Reason has to dominate feelings and guide them. The Bible says in Isaiah, 'Come let us reason together.' Another translation says, 'Come, now let us set things right.' Today is the time to set things right. Christians have to ‘think,’ reason ‘through their beliefs,’ compare them to Scriptures and the church laws and see if they run parallel or conflict. Change those opinions and beliefs which contradict. Once we do, be ready to enjoy peace no matter how bad the situation is around us. People will be attracted to your way, and they will abandon their truths and Our Lady’s ranks will swell.”
We become as “little children” when we encounter the sweetness of Our Lady in Her words and in Her actions.
A look of “humble devotion” of Mirjana before her Queen. The following quote is from Mirjana, A Mystery Is Revealed by A Friend of Medjugorje.
On March 18, 1996, in a message given through Mirjana, Our Lady said: “…On this message, which I give you today through my servant, I desire for you to reflect a long time…” “In the past, Our Lady has never used a title such as this in any public message given to any one of the six visionaries, nor has it been Her custom to patronize them with useless words or exaggerations. What Our Lady said, She meant. Our Lady is known as a servant, so much so that She obtained and now holds Her position in Heaven and upon the earth through Her earthly life of obedience and service.”
Mirjana is seen here at the very end of the apparition. Our Lady has given Mirjana Her message, and what is captured here is Mirjana’s eyes gazing into the eyes of Her Mother, who is looking back at her while Our Lady begins Her departure in silence. We can imagine the look of love on Our Lady’s face by meditating on Mirjana’s expression whose face is full of tenderness, light, peace, joy and the burdens of the world lifted from her shoulders, at least for this brief moment of time. And what sweet words to hear from Our Lady at Her departure: “I will triumph.”
Mirijana wipes away both tears of joy at seeing Our Lady’s love and beauty again, and tears of sorrow that always come from being separated again.
Mirjana gives a beautiful smile to a little girl near her, just after Our Lady ascends back to Heaven. Though one can imagine that Mirjana’s desire, at the end of each apparition, is simply to be away from people in order to ponder Our Lady’s love, beauty and Her recent words given to her, she always displays a humble patience and joy with the crowds around her after every apparition.
And the people continue to come….day after day, year after year, decade after decade. Do you doubt that Our Lady will be victorious, as She said today in Her message? Go back through the archives on Medjugorje.com and pull up the pictures of Mirjana’s past apparitions, or Ivan’s and Marija’s apparitions and look at the multitudes present every time. Individual faces make up the multitudes. These faces are from all over the world, from every country, in towns and cities, and small communities. Our Lady’s way is “local, not global”. But through “local” it will become “global”. Medjugorje is the great river that feeds the little streamlets that are bringing the life-giving water of God’s Spirit throughout the world through the humble devoted lives of Our Lady’s children.
