God's Mercy transforms us!

April 10, 2012

Easter Tuesday

Dear Family of Mary!

"Dear children! I look at you and I see in your heart death without hope, restlessness and hunger. There is no prayer or trust in God, that is why the Most High permits me to bring you hope and joy. Open yourselves. Open your hearts to God's mercy and He will give you everything you need and will fill your hearts with peace, because He is peace and your hope. Thank you for having responded to my call." (November 25, 2010)

This message speaks directly to our need for Mercy. Our Lady sees in our hearts "death without hope, restlessness and hunger...no prayer or trust in God..." This is the state of souls who are far away from God, hearts that do not pray, people who do not trust in God's mercy.

But listen to what Jesus told St. Faustina about just such souls:

My daughter, encourage souls to say the chaplet which I have given to you. It pleases Me to grant everything they ask of Me by saying the chaplet. When hardened sinners say it, I will fill their souls with peace, and the hour of their death will be a happy one.

Write this for the benefit of distressed souls; when a soul sees and realizes the gravity of its sins, when the whole abyss of the misery into which it immersed itself is displayed before its eyes, let it not despair, but with trust let it throw itself into the arms of My mercy, as a child into the arms of its beloved mother. These souls have a right of priority to My compassionate Heart, they have first access to My mercy. Tell them that no soul that has called upon My mercy has been disappointed or brought to shame. I delight particularly in a soul which has placed its trust in My goodness. (1541 Diary)

Oh my...as our Lady told us, "Open your hearts to God's mercy and He will give you everything you need and will fill your hearts with peace, because He is peace and your hope." This is the mind-blowing blessing of Divine Mercy. God only asks us to pray, to open our hearts to Him, and He will do it all. He will forgive us, heal us, fill us with peace, and draw us into communion with Himself. He wants to do this for each of us. We only need to throw ourselves into His arms of Mercy, as a child into the arms of its beloved mother. We can throw ourselves into the arms of our truly beloved Mother, Mary, and she will carry us to Jesus. Mercy will be ours! Joy will be ours! Peace will be ours!

"No soul that has called upon My mercy has been disappointed or brought to shame." Let us respond to Our Savior's call, and enter into His Mercy!

In Jesus, Mary, and Joseph!
