“Jesus said to them, 'Do not be afraid; go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee, there they will see me.'” | Matthew 28:10 April 8, 2012 Easter Sunday
Dear Friends, Easter is a new beginning. In the gospels, it is not a time to rest and simply rejoice with the Risen Lord in our midst. Rather it is the beginning of a new mission. “Do not be afraid. GO!” With renewed energy and hope, the apostles go forward to share the good news that Christ is Risen. He is in our midst and He sends us forth. In a very real sense, the Catholic Medical Mission Board continues this mission, bringing healing hope and new life to so many ill and in need throughout the world. | O God, Who through Your only-begotten Son Jesus Christ has overcome death and opened for us the gate of everlasting life, grant that we who celebrate with joy the day of the Lord’s resurrection, may be raised from the death of sin by Your life-giving Spirit; through Jesus Christ Your Son, Who lives and reigns with You and the same Spirit, one God, world without end.
