Deacon:
"Dear Pete,
I
have finally found work on the third shift as a line worker in a food
processing plant. It's minimum wage and the manager understands my
situation as one of the accused outcast priests and said as long as
there's no big “uproar” about it from my coworkers, then I can stay. As
you know, I've been out of work for a long time, and lost many jobs
because of the Internet and the horrible gossip about me.
Opus
Bono has been so good and generous to me in the past so I hate to ask,
but would it be possible to ask your donors for a little more money so
that I can afford the bus fare to get to work? I should start receiving
regular pay in the next month, which will cover my food, medicine and
utilities, but I'm still so far behind on rent that it will take months
for me to catch up, if they don't evict me first!
Pete,
I'm sorry to have to ask Opus Bono for more money when I know so many
of my brother priests are hurting more than me. Please let me know soon
if you can help me again.
I'm so grateful to all of you at Opus Bono!
In His Mercy,
Father Chuck”
In
