Dear Family of Mary!

"Dear children! Pray in this time of grace and seek the intercession of all the saints who are already in the light. From day to day may they be an example and encouragement to you on the way of your conversion. Little children, be aware that your life is short and passing. Therefore, yearn for eternity and keep preparing your hearts in prayer. I am with you and intercede before my Son for each of you, especially for those who have consecrated themselves to me and to my Son. Thank you for having responded to my call." (October 25, 2014)

I believe that one of the fruits of choosing a saint is encouragement. When we ask God to give us the saint, we give Him permission to reach into our lives and show us His presence. And He does it in such beautiful ways. Here are two more emails that share the excitement of receiving a saint:

Hi Cathy and Denis!
The Saints really are a-movin! I teach a small class of 2 students for grade 5 catechism. Last night at the end of class I told them about how we can choose a saint (or they choose us!) for the New Year, we used your list of saints and scrolled up and down at random until we touched the saint's name. Katie choose St Catherine Laboure and Michael choose St Michael the Archangel!

Michael was amazed that he choose his name sake, and then Katie cried out that her name was a shortened version of Catherine too! The looks on their faces of joy and wonder at the hand of God in this was spine tingling, a great lesson that - Yes - God is alive and cares about us, if we only ask he will respond!

My chosen saint is St Thomas which is perfect! He who doubted cried out "My Lord and my God"! He evangelized all through the Middle East to India. I am in great need of his encouragement .... I am comforted so much already by St Thomas's presence in my days.
Judy

Judy said it so well, "The looks on their faces of joy and wonder at the hand of God in this was spine tingling, a great lesson that - Yes - God is alive and cares about us, if we only ask He will respond!" God is alive!! And He loves us!

Anita also wrote about her experience this year in picking a saint:

Now to confirm the letters you are receiving concerning our "Saintly Friends in Heaven" and their help to us here on earth. Since watching you and Denis, I have chosen or better said "a saint has chosen me" each New Year.....

This year, however, my Saint (not yet canonized) came to me in a different way.  I was at Adoration and the Church has a little library so I glanced down at the books and saw this wonderful man looking back at me. The title of the Book was "Man of Faith" and I sure knew the face.  I had read a book on his miraculous healing and also his favorite motto that has spread everywhere, "The family that prays together stays together."

Well, I chose Fr. Patrick Peyton to guide me this year and to help me be faithful to the Rosary!!

For some strong reason I feel our Dear Lord and His Mother are sending in the Saints to us in a very strong way........and how beautiful that Mary TV is getting that message powerfully to share for all those in the little boat. Anita

Thank you, Anita.   I agree that there seems to be a very strong anointing through our saints, a big boost of grace for us in these times. I feel very encouraged!! Thank you Lord, for giving us such strong intercessors and friends from heaven. May they guide us ever closer to You!

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!

PS. If you haven't yet chosen a saint for 2015, there is a list of saints on our webpage (2015 Saints List, http://www.marytv.tv/saints-list ). You can download and print out the PDF of the list, and cut out the individual entries. Then put them in a container, pray and pull out the saint God has chosen for you! It is a great blessing!
