Dear Family of Mary!
"...What is asked of you, as I also have done, is to love and to give. My children, if you love, your heart will be a home for my Son and me, and the words of my Son will be the guiding light in your life. My children, I will make use of you, apostles of love, to help all of my children to come to know the truth..." (January 2, 2015)
Our Lady has asked us before to make a place for Jesus in our hearts. In 2012 she gave us this message:
"Dear children, give the gift of your life to me and completely surrender to me so that I may help you to comprehend my motherly love and the love of my Son for you. My children, I love you immeasurably and today, in a special way, on the day of the birth of my Son, I desire to receive each of you into my heart and to give a gift of your lives to my Son. My children, Jesus loves you and gives you the grace to live in His mercy, but sin has overtaken many of your hearts and you live in darkness. Therefore, my children, do not wait, say 'no' to sin and surrender your hearts to my Son, because only in this way will you be able to live God's mercy and, with Jesus in your hearts, set out on the way of salvation." (December 25, 2012-Jakov)
Our
Lady speaks so urgently in this message about accepting the gift of
love we are offered through Jesus. She asks us to give our lives in
complete surrender to her, so that she can help us to understand both
her motherly love and the love of Jesus, her Son. I think that we, in
our fallen nature, really have a tough time truly understanding the love
of Jesus and Mary. There have been few relationships in our lives in
which love has been unconditional. So many times we have discovered that
we are loved only as much as we have pleased those in our lives, only
as much as we have given to others. And we have been rejected and hurt
on many occasions through the weakness of others. So love is for us an
experience that is tempered by disillusionment and failure.
This
disillusionment can make us suspect even God's love for us. Do we
really believe that God loves us? Do we understand His love? How is it
to be understood in a world of suffering and trial?
Our
Lady knows this. She sees us hold back. Just when we should be
surrendering everything to Jesus, due to our fears and confused ideas
about love, we hesitate. So she tells us "My children, I love
you immeasurably and today, in a special way, on the day of the birth of
my Son, I desire to receive each of you into my heart and to give a
gift of your lives to my Son." Our Lady knows how hard it is
for us to trust Jesus' love, and so she wants to just pick us up and do
it for us! She wants to put us in her heart and give us to Jesus
herself.
She
is such a good mother! She continues by telling us that Jesus loves us
and wants to fill us with His mercy, but our sin makes us closed to that
mercy. When we live out of our broken attitudes about love, our fears
and disillusionment, we can sin, because we say no to life and to love.
She wants us to reject sin, say "no" to it, so that we can receive
Jesus' love and accept Him in our hearts. Then we will be able to live
God's mercy and with Jesus in our hearts set out on the way of
salvation!
This
mercy in our hearts is love! And it is that love that makes a home for
Jesus in our hearts. The very love and mercy we receive from Jesus and
Mary, if embraced, will make us a fit home for them.
Let's
not wait. Even today, Mary will take us into her heart and quickly
deliver us to her Son, where we will experience true Love and Mercy, and
the old suspicions will be destroyed. We will believe in love just like
Mary does! And that will be the day we can begin to help her in her
plan to save the world.
In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!
