Dear Family of Mary!
"Dear
children! May this time be a time of prayer for you. My call, little
children, desires to be for you a call to decide to follow the way of
conversion; therefore, pray and seek the intercession of all the saints.
May they be for you an example, an incentive and a joy towards eternal
life. Thank you for having responded to my call." (October 25, 2010)
The
saints are given to us to help us as our encouragers. They pray for us,
and they almost push us along on the way of holiness. We need their
help. Also this week we received a wonderful witness from Barb, one of
our faithful shipmates for the Daily Rosary. She also had an
extraordinary experience of her saint:
Dear Denis and Cathy,
I
had to come out to the computer and write this to you while it is so
fresh in my mind. I could not do the rosary live today so I went to bed
with my iPhone and earplugs to listen to the archive. When you said to
call on the Saint that chose you I thought of St. John Vianney. At that
very moment I felt his presence. He took my hand and held it and I felt
as though his love just poured over me. (I heard his words in my
heart) He told me that he was here to help me and I began to cry. I
went through about ten Kleenexes. It was so real.
As
this was happening Cathy was telling about a man named Reuben who had
an experience with St. Joseph. For me, I have been having such a dark
night of the soul since Mom died. I don't feel like praying. It is such a
struggle. I pray all the time for help so that I would experience joy
in prayer and want to pray. So, when this happened I felt as though he
was here to help me through this very hard time. Maybe we are going into
a time where the folks in heaven are going to be very close to us.
Anyway, maybe more people will write in about these experiences. Truly
amazing. I really felt as though he was holding my hand. OK! God's
blessings on you and the ministry. Barb - PS. The Mary TV rosary is
truly a lifeline for me. Thank you so much for being so faithful each
day...
Then Barb followed up the next day with this email:
Dear Denis and Cathy,
Since Reuben followed up with a letter I thought I should do the same. I
woke up this morning and felt like praying a rosary and then I prayed
another. I was on the third and realized I had to get going with my
breakfast etc. I read the Bible while I ate breakfast, as I usually do,
and then said the rosary with you folks. I usually get to mass but I got
started too late and could not get the ice and snow off my car to get
there in time. I finished the third rosary I started in the morning and
just said another rosary after dinner. All said with joy! Before this,
it was hard for me to say one rosary. So, I do know that my saint, the
Cure of Ars, is really helping me. The Bible reading I read today said:
"By the might of his glory you will be endowed with the strength needed
to stand fast, even to endure joyfully whatever may come, giving thanks
to the Father for having made you worthy to share the lot of the saints in light.
He rescued us from the power of darkness and brought us into the
kingdom of his beloved son. Through Him we have redemption, the
forgiveness of our sins." (Colossians 1:11-14)
We will set sail again tomorrow, God willing. Barb
Well,
isn't that beautiful! Before her experience of the Cure of Ars, Barb
could hardly pray one Rosary, and after she couldn't stop praying the
Rosary!!! This is the "PUSH" we get from the intercession of our saints!
The power of the Holy Spirit just falls on us!!
Thank
you Barb, for sharing your beautiful experience! We do need help these
days, heavenly help. And it is available!! Thank you to our dear
Saints!!
In Jesus, Mary and Joseph,
Cathy Nolan

PS. If you haven't yet chosen a saint for 2015, there is a list of saints on our webpage (2015 Saints List, http://www.marytv.tv/saints-list
). You can download and print out the PDF of the list, and cut out the
individual entries. Then put them in a container, pray and pull out the
saint God has chosen for you! It is a great blessing!
