Topic: Our Lady of Pellevoisin and Prayer
Feast February 15
Quote:
The Blessed Virgin said to Estelle Faguette, the visionary of Pellevoisin:
"I am merciful and the mistress of my Son. The few good works and the intense prayer which you offered me have touched my Mother-heart, especially that letter which you wrote me in September.[….] I showed this letter to my Son."
Meditation:
Estelle Faguette was a simple maidservant to the wealthy countess of Rochefoucauld. In 1875, Estelle Faguette only thirty years old, was dying of painful tuberculosis. Estelle was extremely worried about the welfare of her parents. This good daughter provided her parents with their only source of income. In Estelle's anxiety over providing for her parents, she simply and humbly wrote a letter to her Heavenly Mother. She put the letter behind the statue of Our Lady in the yard.
The following year, Our Lady appeared to Estelle Faguet 15 times. Our Lady cured Estelle of her tuberculosis and gave Estelle the task to spread devotion to the White Scapular.

Resolution:
What a simple, pious and lovely expression of devotion to Our Lady. Today, I will imitate Estelle Faguette, who touched our Lady's Mother-heart. I will write a short, loving letter to my Mother and tuck it behind the image of Our Lady. Each time I see the white paper sticking out, I will greet my Mother in my heart.
Marian Vow:
A prayer by St. Alphonsus di Liguori
"Most holy Virgin, do thou obtain us affection for prayer and retirement, that, detaching ourselves from the love of creatures, we may aspire only after God and heaven, where we hope one day to see thee, to praise thee, and to love thee, together with Jesus, thy Son, for ever and ever. Amen."
The Glories of Mary, (Tan Books), 587.
I give this resolution to the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Thanks be to God for graces received.
