[MaryVitamin] Our Lady of Pellevoisin Part II

Mary Vitamin

Topic: Our Lady of Pellevoisin - February 15th

Quote:
Our Lady to Estelle Faguette regarding the letter,
"What touched me most was the sentence:
'See the misery of my parents, if I am no longer here, they will soon have to beg for their food. Remember what You suffered when Your Jesus was nailed to the Cross."

Meditation:
In the letter written to the Blessed Virgin, Estelle Faguette could have prayed for relief from her painful tuberculosis but instead she expressed her concern for the welfare of her parents. This concern (and the calling upon Her Sorrowful Heart) moved Our Lady to pity.

Our Lady offered comforting words to Estelle:
"My Son was pleased with your prayers."

Resolution:
Today, I will pray for others in the manner of Estelle Faguette. I will have great confidence that prayers for others are especially pleasing to Our Lady and Her Son.

Marian Vow:
The missionary quality of the the Marian vow:
"Missionary spirit, namely, one's complete readiness to work in the Church and with the Church for the Kingdom of God in the world, with a commitment to spread the Gospel:
a. by the witness of an exemplary life;
b. by intense and fervent prayer;
c. by words which enlighten and edify;
 d. by apostolic activity enriched by sacrifice"
 From the Marian Seraphic Pathways

I give this resolution to the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Thanks be to God for graces received.
