Dear Family of Mary!
Our Lady's April 2, 2012 message through Mirjana:
"Dear children! As the Queen of Peace, I desire to give peace to you, my children, true peace which comes through the heart of my Divine Son. As a mother I pray that wisdom, humility and goodness may come to reign in your hearts - that peace may reign - that my Son may reign. When my Son will be the ruler in your hearts, you will be able to help others to come to know Him. When heavenly peace comes to rule over you, those who are seeking it in the wrong places, thus causing pain to my motherly heart, will recognize it. My children, great will be my joy when I see that you are accepting my words and that you desire to follow me. Do not be afraid, you are not alone. Give me your hands and I will lead you. Do not forget your shepherds. Pray that in their thoughts they may always be with my Son who called them to witness Him. Thank you."

PS. Next reflection will be for April 4, 2012, so that we can pray individually over this message tonight and tomorrow.
Monday of Holy Week
Dear Family of Mary!
"Dear children! Also today I am with you in a special way contemplating and living the passion of Jesus in my heart. Little children, open your hearts and give me everything that is in them: joys, sorrows and each, even the smallest, pain, that I may offer them to Jesus; so that with His immeasurable love, He may burn and transform your sorrows into the joy of His resurrection. That is why, I now call you in a special way, little children, for your hearts to open to prayer, so that through prayer you may become friends of Jesus. Thank you for having responded to my call." (February 25, 1999)
As we begin Holy Week, we may wonder exactly how to pray, how to approach this inscrutable mystery of God's love for us. I believe Our Lady has given us good guidance in this message from 1999.
First of all, she is with us. "Also today I am with you in a special way..." She is indeed with us in a special way, through her apparitions in Medjugorje. She is closer to us now than ever before. We are aware of her closeness. It is a constant sense of being loved that surrounds us in these days, a gentle background of wellbeing that we can feel despite our difficulties. This is Our Lady's presence.
And for this week, she will be in deep contemplation. "I am with you in a special way contemplating and living the passion of Jesus in my heart." Our Lady will travel through Holy Week with us in this contemplation of Jesus' death. It is said that when Our Lady lived in Ephesus, she constructed a "Way of the Cross" on the hill behind her home. She spent time on this "Way", contemplating the Passion of her Son. This was not a morbid fascination. Our Lady knew the infinite power of healing and transformation that was poured out during the Passion. She spent time on her "Way" interceding for her other children, and drawing down the graces that Jesus won for them. She will do the same for us this week, praying for each of us that we will receive all that Jesus has for us.
That is why she says, "Little children, open your hearts and give me everything
that is in them: joys, sorrows and each, even the smallest, pain, that I may offer them to Jesus; so that with His immeasurable love, He may burn and transform your sorrows into the joy of His resurrection." Our Lady will be praying for our healing this week. She just needs our cooperation. We must truly open our hearts by deciding for Jesus over everything else in our lives, and then offer to Him our wounded-ness. This week is for our healing. Every sorrow, every pain, every resentment, every bitterness, every humiliation, every sin, every wrong choice, every failing, every weakness, every addiction, every shame, every infidelity, every disappointment, every misunderstanding, every bad choice, every lost opportunity, every sadness, and even every joy...they all must be given over to the healer. He will absorb them into his suffering heart, and send back healing and love.
Our Lady calls us to prayer this week. Concerted prayer, focused prayer, open-hearted prayer! Why, because Jesus wants to be our friend! "That is why, I now call you in a special way, little children, for your hearts to open to prayer, so that through prayer you may become friends of Jesus." Imagine that! Our Savior loves us so much that He wants to be our friend. His love will burn away all our sorrows and pains, and draw us into His heart, where LOVE resides!
This week, we have been invited, invited to Love.
In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!
