Mary TV Daily Reflection 9/24/10

Our Lady of Medjugorje

The Lamb of God

September 24, 2010

Dear Family of Mary!

Yesterday (Thursday, September 23) was an amazing day for Our Lady!

The Cathedral of St. Stephen (affectionately called The Dome) was filled to overflowing with Our Lady's children in Austria.
The aisles were jammed; every possible spot was filled with people longing to be near Mother Mary!  Ivan and Marija were present, along with the Cenacolo community of Austria, Melinda, the violinist from Medjugorje, Milona Von Hapsburg de Rambere, many priests and religious, and Mary TV.  It was a beautiful gathering of love.

Denis and Tom Matasso flew to Vienna on Tuesday to prepare to stream this evening of prayer.  It was a huge undertaking.  I still don't know how they pulled it off, but at 9:00 am EDT (2:00 pm Vienna time) they had the picture up and the sound working on our website.  The live streaming had begun.  The actual event began an hour later.

It began with the Austrian Cenacolo community giving their incredible testimonies.  So much love and joy in their poverty.  So much hope in their conversions and new lives!  Incredible.  Then came a surprising sharing from a young woman from Italy (I think her name is Celia).  She told of her paralysis and epilepsy which had confined her to a wheel chair at 16 years of age.  She shared how depressed she was at losing her freedom and health.  She then shared how Our Lady slowing drew her to Medjugorje where something incredible happened.  (You can see the testimony on our archives very soon.)

Next Ivan and Marija shared their experiences with Our Lady from the early days.  Very beautiful!  After this the Rosary was beautifully prayed with inspired music from Melinda and the music group.  Then came apparition time, and Our Lady must have been so excited to appear because as soon as the Our Father was begun, boom, she came!  The camera work was wonderful, and we could see the visionaries faces the whole time.  Wonderful!  Our Lady's presence was palpable, even through the internet.

Next was Holy Mass with probably 40 priests.  Jesus came to us then.  So incredible!  After that was Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, conducted by Cardinal Christoph Schoenborn, himself!  What a fatherly and loving presence he is.  He carried our dear Jesus throughout the Cathedral, blessing his people.  What a joy!It was a full and beautiful day.  I want to share what Ivan and Marija said about their encounter with Our Lady.

Ivan said:  "Dear Cardinal, dear priests, dear friends of Christ!  In truth it has been a beautiful evening for us all.  I know priests wish their churches could be so full every Sunday!  This is the living Church, the lungs of the Church.  Our Mother comes as the Mother of the Church.  She comes to help every one of us, to encourage every one of us, to console each one of us.  At the end of every message she says, "Thank you for having responded to my call."  Tonight Our Lady tells us all, "Thank you, dear children, that you have accepted my messages and that you live my messages.  Thank you dear children, that you will be my missionaries, my apostles and bring my messages to the world. Be carriers of the good news!  Pray with Me!

"About the encounter with Our Lady (it is hard for me to find words) I will share what is most important.  Tonight as it drew closer to 20 minutes to 7, we felt Our Lady coming closer and closer.  We always pray the 7 Our Fathers, Hail Marys, and Glory Bes before she comes.  But as soon as we started the first Our Father tonight, that was the moment Our Lady came.  First a light appears, not of this world. It is a light of paradise, and it comes with her.  At that time we see nothing around us, no time or space.  She then greeted us, "Praised by Jesus, my dear children!"  She came happy and joyful.  She extended her arms and prayed over all of us, the priests, the sick, and those in need.  She gave us all her motherly blessing and blessed our religious articles.  She recommended the needs of the family, of priests, of the Cardinal and the Archdiocese.  Our Lady prayed over the priests for a long time.  We prayed an Our Father and Glory be together and in that prayer she left us, saying, "Go in peace, my dear children."

"The most important message is that of the 25th of the month which comes up in two days.  We expect that message.  Continue to respond to Our Lady's call and be collaborators for a better world, worthy of the call of God.  I hope we can live like good seed and good earth and bear good fruit.  May this night be the beginning of a spiritual renewal for all of us.  When we go home, may we live this time of responsibility by taking responsibility for the messages.  Pray for peace with the Queen of peace, peace in the family and holiness in the family.  Pray with the Queen of Peace for the Church, for priests and vocations.  Jesus often said, "Be not afraid."  Our Lady repeats, "Be not afraid, dear children."  Let us decide for God.  Put Him first in life.  Walk with Him into the future in peace, love and forgiveness.  Thank you!"

Marija spoke briefly:

"Please stay for Adoration.  Our Lady says that where Jesus is present, she is present also.  WE need of pray for lots of graces.  Open your hearts now, pray and ask for a new life!"

Thanks be to God for such a night of joy and prayer!  Thanks be to God that it was live for people all over the world!  I'm told it went to at least 70 countries!  We will be able to watch the recordings on our website starting we hope tomorrow.  Join us at Marytv.tv!!

Much love in the Gospa!
