Dedication of the Basilicas of St. Peter and St. Paul in Rome
St. Rose P. Duchesne
Dear Family of Mary!
Well, the evening of prayer in Vienna is over. It was beautiful in every way. St. Stephen's Cathedral was packed with prayerful people. There were at least 40 priests on the altar. And Melinda and her community provided beautiful music that transported us all back to Medjugorje in our hearts.
The evening began with testimonies by Fr. Erich Cowen, Justina Okolowice, and Magnus McFarland Barrow. Each testimony demonstrated the power of Our Lady's love in the hearts of her children, and the great fruit of that love. I will try to transcribe and share those testimonies when I get the recording.
Then Ivan shared for an hour about the last 30 years with Our Lady. It was extraordinary! He transmitted so much love and childlike respect for Our Lady during his talk. You can just see the mark of her motherly care in his demeanor.

Then came the Rosary, and Our Lady appeared to Ivan directly after the Rosary. The apparition lasted at least 10 minutes. My computer began to freeze at that point, as did many others, I hear. By that time about a quarter of a million people were connected by the internet to our live-stream! It was a huge amount. But the graces were flowing, despite the log jam on the internet. Our Lady blessed us all at that moment!
Following the apparition Cardinal Christoph Shoenborn celebrated Holy Mass, accompanied by a large group of priests. It was beautiful! I will try to transcribe his homily as well, as it was very moving.
Then after Holy Mass, Ivan shared about his encounter with Our Lady. I scribbled as much as I could, but could not get everything just right. So I will wait for the recording. But one thing I got for sure. Our Lady asked us to "Pray, pray, pray that God will give you peace." And Ivan said that she blessed us all, and our religious items. She prayed over the priests present. The rest I will report when I get the recording.
Finally, Cardinal Schoenborn led us all in Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. He prayed some very beautiful prayers, and then carried Jesus, in the Monstrance, all through the Cathedral, so that Jesus could reach all His children. It was exquisite. Our Lord was so very close, I could feel His love through my computer!
The recording of this event will be up on our website we hope by Sunday night. We are excited to make it available to everyone. What a beautiful evening of joy and love, of prayer and worship! We are so blessed! Our Lady is drawing us deeper and deeper into love with her Son. You can just feel it in such gatherings as this.
Thanks to Tom and Denis, Mike, Janos, Matt, Annie, Tom, Cathy, Mary and our whole Mary TV team!!! What a blessing!
And thank you, dear Blessed Mother Mary, for coming again today for us!
In Jesus and Mary!
