The new year and Christmas season are a time for self-illumination. If we pray, the Lord illuminates our souls. It is good to deeply evaluate ourselves each year, particularly before wandering into a new one.
It is a time when we make promises.
Purity of the spirit is the goal.
This can bring any miracle.
Although it is a time of year in which we make New Year's resolutions, and think of the Joyful Mysteries, it is always, each day, of every year, a time to recall the Sorrowful Ones -- for it is in praying the Rosary of the Seven Sorrows of the Virgin Mary (it was said at Kibeho) that we maintain joy -- and can achieve self-illumination.
