November 12, 2012 Dear Children of Medjugorje, praised be Jesus and Mary! 1. On November 2, 2012, Mirjana received her monthly apparition at the Blue Cross, in the midst of a huge crowd. After the apparition, she gave the following message: "Dear children! As a mother I implore you to persevere as my apostles. I am praying to my Son to give you Divine wisdom and strength. I am praying that you may discern everything around you according to God's truth and to strongly resist everything that wants to distance you from my Son. I am praying that you may witness the love of the Heavenly Father according to my Son. My children, great grace has been given to you to be witnesses of God's love. Do not take the given responsibility lightly. Do not sadden my motherly heart. As a mother I desire to rely on my children, on my apostles. Through fasting and prayer you are opening the way for me to pray to my Son for Him to be beside you and for His name to be holy through you. Pray for the shepherds because none of this would be possible without them. Thank you." 2. No unemployment in Purgatory! In Ireland, at the Counseling Center for pregnant women, one of the workers made a marvelous discovery. "When he was counseling women who wanted to have an abortion, even after hours of discussion and explanation to dissuade them, his efforts often remained fruitless, as some women clung to their decision to have the abortion. One day, after having spent hours with a woman who did not want to listen at all, he decided to call on the souls in Purgatory and to seek their help. He immediately asked a priest to celebrate one Mass for the deliverance of the souls in Purgatory. He specified: "For those who are already close to Heaven and for whom there is little left to prevent them from being delivered." The Mass was celebrated and a few hours later, he contacted this woman again to see if she had scheduled an appointment for an abortion at a different Counseling Center. To his great surprise, the woman told him that she had changed her mind and that she was keeping her baby! Encouraged by this experience, this man had other Masses celebrated for the poor souls every time he encountered the desperate case of a mother who clung to her plan of having an abortion. To his great joy, the poor souls did a splendid job and many innocent lives were saved. The souls of our deceased need us greatly! Also, they are very aware of our own needs! As they see all things in the light of God and are no longer polluted by the lies of this world, they wish us a great deal of good and want to spare us from any evil. Seeing the precious value of human life, how could they not take this intention to heart and hasten to protect a mother from making a big mistake? They also benefit greatly from the power of a Mass. Therefore, in their gratitude to the faithful who request a Mass, they are too happy to answer this specific intention to preserve life! I met many men devastated because the mother of their child wanted to have an abortion. Well, here is something precious they can do! 3.Real Estate seen from above! When I interviewed Maria Simma (a simple Austrian peasant woman with a particular charism to see the souls in Purgatory), she described to me some of her "visits" from them. (A word of caution here: please note that these visits are permitted by God and given to humanity in rare instances. These visits have nothing to do with calling on spirits or the deceased. Those types of "visits" are strictly forbidden by God in the Bible, as "abominations" before Him, see Deut. 18: 9-14.) One day a poor soul came to Maria Simma and asked her to go to his village and meet his brother. In fact, this deceased person had dishonestly acquired some property while on earth, and Maria was asked to convince his brother to give the property back to its rightful owner. If his brother accepted, the deceased soul would be delivered from Purgatory and at last go to Heaven. The brother was totally unaware of all this dishonesty and totally refused to believe this bizarre story. But the soul had provided all of the document references to Maria, and in fact she was able to give such detailed nuances of the case that the brother, after having checked everything with the surveyor and his attorney, had to admit the fact that his relative had dishonestly acquired the property. So the brother gave the property back to its rightful owner. The deceased then appeared again to Maria and thanked her because he had entered Heaven. Since that day, this even was recounted everywhere in the region and Maria became very famous. Afterwards other souls came to her seeking similar help, not only regarding property, but also money or other stolen goods. (See PS2) 4. The lady with the matches. In the last century, a poor old woman lived alone in her little hamlet, far from any kind of civilization, in a plain stone house that looked more like a sheep stable than a place to live. She had neither electricity nor running water, nor any of the basic facilities that have become so indispensable to us today. Her son lived abroad and he used to come to visit his mother from time to time. Moved by the precarious condition in which she lived, he decided to have electricity installed for her. It greatly upset him to see that his mother lit her small oil lamp every night at sundown and remained in semi-darkness. He was afraid that she would hurt herself, all the more because her vision was rapidly getting worse with age. So the electrician came to do the job and, satisfied, the son went back to his home in a far off country. He was happy to have been able to do his filial duty in this way, and he was at peace thinking of his mom in the light. He came back several months later and asked his mother: "So, mother, are you pleased now to have electricity? It must have changed your life?" "Oh yes, my son! Now at night, I can see enough to find my matches and light my oil lamp!"
Are you smiling?! Yet we behave in just the same way with God! We live way below our means! How many times did Jesus come to visit us and take us out of our semi-darkness and bring saving light to us! But without even noticing, we remain attached to our old habits and automatic reactions, clinging to our dependencies. We are the sons of a King and yet we live in misery! As children of the Heavenly Father, everything that is His is ours. But we do not use a tenth of what He puts at our disposal to walk in the light, on the way to Heaven! Imagine a man living in a beautiful castle but who would stay buried in a tiny badly-ventilated room, spending his life complaining about his fate, unaware of the wide spaces surrounding him! Today, the Lord is knocking at your door. Do you need any light? Dearest Gospa, Mother of Mercy and Compassion, look how blind we are! Please grant us that we may live with the invisible through faith and with your heart. Why should we miss the communion with these wonderful friends that God is offering us!? Sister Emmanuel + (Translated from French) NB: Father Petar Vlasic, the parish priest of Medjugorje died early on the morning of 8 November 2012 after a long illness. Father Marinko Sakota is temporarily taking his place until the next parish priest is nominated. Let us pray for both of these priests! |
