Dear family of Mary!
"Dear children! Today I am calling you to holiness. Without holiness you cannot live. Therefore, with love overcome every sin and with love overcome all the difficulties which are coming to you. Dear children, I beseech you to live love within yourselves. Thank you for having responded to my call." (July 10, 1986)
Here is the conclusion of Marija's testimony at Notre Dame on November 15, 2012:
More and more of our friends came with us [to Adoration]. And we prayed, not only for us to be more open, to be more near to God, to be more holy...but we prayed for all young people, for all old people, for our families, for all families of the world. We prayed for all the people who were at that moment in cars, for those sick in hospital, for those sick in bed, and our prayer became every day more large. And I remember when we began to pray spontaneously, and we never finished, because every day our prayer became more large, more beautiful, more deep...because our hearts were more in God.
Our Lady asked from us to make prayer group. In this prayer group she asked us to grow and to help others to grow in wisdom, in the way of holiness. And I remember we were a group of young people, a group of old people, a group of families or our own family - like Our Lady said, "The first prayer group needs to be your family!" And slowly, slowly we made really a beautiful group of prayer.
And I remember our group of young people went to Rome to visit the Holy Father. We were praying and many people said, "Who are you? From where did you come?" And we said, "We are from Our Lady." And with great joy we spoke of Medjugorje, of the apparitions of Our Lady, because we were like a river which is full and needs to go to the sea. And so we took this fresh water to all those people who are distant from God, distant from Our Lady. And we said always, "When you don't have God you have nothing." And Our Lady said to us, "Our confidence needs to be in God."
We see that this world puts its center on "me". And we put the center on our life, on our body. And we forget our soul. And for this reason Our Lady has come to say to us, "Put God in the first place in your lives." And Our Lady said "When you have God you have a future. You have eternity." Our Lady took Jakov and Vicka, one day, for forty five minutes, to see heaven, hell and purgatory. To show that another life exists, eternal life exists. There are many people who do not believe this anymore. And she brought Jakov and Vicka...at this time Jakov was 11 years old. And when Our Lady said, "You come with me," Jakov thought he was going to die! And so he said to Our Lady, "Holy Mary, please take Vicka. She has eight brothers and sisters, I am the only one. And you know my Mom, she's going to cry!" And Our Lady said, "Come with me." And she took Jakov with one hand, and Vicka with the other, and she brought them to paradise to see it, to heaven, to hell and to purgatory. And she brought them back and she told then to go make testimony. Your life is not what Holy Scripture says, seventy years or eighty for those who are more "big". Our Lady said "Your life is for eternity." She said she would like us to be happy here on earth and happy with her in heaven.
So she asked us to make the consecration of our hearts to her Immaculate Heart. And I remember one day I was at this most important shrine in Sicily, one part of Italy, and this day the government of Sicily decided to make this the day of Our Lady. All schools were closed this day, and all young people were invited to go to the sanctuary. All the mayors of the cities were invited to go to the shrine and make the consecration of their cities to Our Lady. And many mothers and fathers came to me and said, "Pray for my kids. We are not strong enough to say 'You are in sin. You live in sin." And they are Catholic.
For what reason has Our Lady come here? To say, "Get up! Take the way of holiness. Give my testimony. [Jesus says] I am the Resurrection. I was crucified, and died. But I am Resurrected. I am with you, and I guide you. But I give you freedom. In this freedom it is your choice. Good or bad. I call you for holiness. Our Lady says, "I call you for new life. It's your choice. It's your choice to say yes, or no."
Today my testimony is for every one of you that I said "yes" with my whole life. I go to speak for the first time in English! Never did I study! But what brought me here is more this big joy in my heart. And I would like to say to all of you, I am so happy, because God, through Our Lady, chose me to be here with you. And to say that God is love, and He through Our Lady chose me to be for every one of you, Hope! Hope and joy for all of you, that is God. (Marija Pavlovic-Lunetti. University of Notre Dame, November 15, 2012)
This remarkable testimony is available on our website now! The sound the video work are really good. You will enjoy watching Marija again. She came, as a messenger of hope!!! This was the great news I came away with. Hope!!
And I am also very drawn to these words of Marija: "And with great joy we spoke of Medjugorje, of the apparitions of Our Lady, because we were like a river which is full and needs to go to the sea. And so we took this fresh water to all those people who are distant from God, distant from Our Lady." She is very poetic here. The love and joy of Our Lady's presence in Medjugorje so filled the young people that they could not hold back their testimony. Like the rushing water in a swollen river, their love for Our Lady just gushed forth. They shared about her to everyone they met! They sound very much like the Apostles on Pentecost, who could not refrain from testifying to the Resurrection of Jesus! Such faith is contagious!
I am very grateful to Marija for coming to our home town and sharing her testimony of hope with us. It did wash over us like a mighty river of love. It actually was cleansing for many of us, who were struggling with the realities of the American election. But the hope that Marija brought to us has washed off the mud and dust of that day, and we are refocused on Our Lady's call. We are her chosen ones, called to pray and love like she does, until the world is changed!
In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!
