"But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise,
God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong... "

Dear Family of Mary!
"Dear children, as a mother I implore you to persevere as my apostles. I am praying to my Son to give you Divine wisdom and strength. I am praying that you may discern everything around you according to God's truth and to strongly resist everything that wants to distance you from my Son. I am praying that you may witness the love of the Heavenly Father according to my Son. My children, great grace has been given to you to be witnesses of God's love. Do not take the given responsibility lightly. Do not sadden my motherly heart. As a mother I desire to rely on my children, on my apostles. Through fasting and prayer you are opening the way for me to pray to my Son for Him to be beside you and for His name to be holy through you. Pray for the shepherds because none of this would be possible without them. Thank you."(November 2, 2012)
Mother Mary calls us her apostles. She is sending us out to spread the good news. Jesus sent out his apostles to spread the Gospel, the incredible news that God has become Man and that we are saved by Him through faith in Jesus. Now Mary is sending us to share the same news, with the added joy that she is with us to help us receive our salvation. This is her time!!
And so she is praying for us in a special way so that we will be equipped to spread the good news!! And what does she pray for? "I am praying to my Son to give you Divine wisdom and strength." Wow! Divine wisdom and strength! Who wouldn't want this wisdom and strength? But wait a minute, what does she mean by Divine wisdom and strength? Certainly we are not going to turn into super-humans. Well, not in terms of what most people would think.
Our Lady knows what she means. St. Paul has already written it all down for us. Here is what he says about Divine wisdom and strength:
For Christ did not send me to baptize but to preach the gospel, and not with eloquent wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power. For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
For it is written, "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and the cleverness of the clever I will thwart." Where is the wise man? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For since, in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom, it pleased God through the folly of what we preach to save those who believe. For Jews demand signs and Greeks seek wisdom, but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles, but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. For the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
For consider your call, brethren; not many of you were wise according to worldly standards, not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth; but God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise, God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong, God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, so that no human being might boast in the presence of God. He is the source of your life in Christ Jesus, whom God made our wisdom, our righteousness and sanctification and redemption; therefore, as it is written, "Let him who boasts, boast of the Lord." (1 Cor: 17-31)
Well, now we know what Our Lady means by Divine wisdom and strength. Our wisdom and strength will be a contradiction to the world's power and wisdom. We are to become small, the least, the lowly, the despised of this world. We are to be foolish in the world's eyes. Our wisdom will come from a higher realm. Our strength will come from another source. To worldly eyes, we will be like Jesus, stumbling blocks and folly. But in that lowliness, we will be strong and wise, because we will be relying completely on God, holding fast completely to Mary, and trusting completely in God's plan for us. We will hold fast, and in that holding, God will work through us to save many, many souls.
And we will be filled with joy, in that state of lowliness! Joy from the Holy Spirit will be our go-power! Because we will have the vision of heaven before our eyes to lead us on. Our Lady is with us, she is praying for us, she is holding us by the hand and teaching us. With Our Mother, we can do it!
The strength of Jesus is so much greater than the strength of the world. We know it! His strength is resurrection strength! This is what Mother Mary is asking the Father to give us. It is part of her plan for us. May we be willing to receive this gift!
In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!
