Spiritual Gems-Do you Think you are a Joy for Jesus?-February 15, 2014

Do you Think you are a Joy for Jesus?

How many times have people responded to this question with...."I have never thought about that.........or that would be a lack of humility in me with all my sin and vices."  Many people especially Catholics who are baptized, confirmed, go to Mass and receive our Lord, and who are in a state of grace actually pass their whole lives without ever experiencing the joy of a heart to heart, intimate relationship with the Person of Jesus Christ!

Is it not the most elementary logic that a father and his child should be a joy for one another?  Is it not written in Scripture that "His great delight is to be with the children of men?"  The failure to believe in God's merciful love is the greatest sin of omission.  Let us pray this prayer together right now..."Lord, open the eyes of my soul to this blindness and through your Holy Mother's Immaculate Heart, draw me into this loving personal relationship where my greatest joy is to be with You constantly.  Lord, I believe like St. Therese that it is BECAUSE of my littleness and failures that Your joy is to be with me as long as I desire to be better and more like You.  You will do the work, I simply will love You with all my heart, mind and soul!"

Based in a meditation from Fr. Jean C. J. D'Elbe from "I Believe in Love" (highly recommended book for all to read and meditate).

You can receive complimentary materials to make your Consecration to God through Mary’s Immaculate Heart (important spiritual protection at this time in salvation history) at myconsecration.org... where you can also learn about Our Lady of Las Lajas.

God Bless you and your work,
