We must look through Mary as if she were our eyeglass lens

“We must look through Mary as if she were our eyeglass lens”

The Rosary has always held a particularly important place during the apparitions of Mary. Our Lady has even at times moved her fingers through Rosary beads along with the faithful.

Why do you think that is? Is it because we should address our prayers to her rather than to Christ or the Father? Not true. On the contrary, it is because we should contemplate the mysteries of the life of Jesus—the mystery of the triune God—with the same eyes as Mary. Our contemplation needs to take its source in her thoughts.

Our vision is blurred, so in order to see clearly—forgive me for using this image—we must look through Mary as if she were our eyeglass lens.

Please no anonymous comments. I require at least some way for people to address each other personally and courteously. Having some name or handle helps.
