St. John EudesDear Family of Mary!"Dear children! Also today, I call you to prayer. Little children, prayer works miracles. When you are tired and sick and you do not know the meaning of your life, take the Rosary and pray; pray until prayer becomes for you a joyful meeting with your Savior. I am with you, little children, and I intercede and pray for you. Thank you for having responded to my call."
"Hi Cathy - I would like to tell you about a personal miracle that happened to me. About ten years or so ago, I was going through a time when I had problems with my hands, mainly with my fingers. I am a secretary by profession and I need the use of my fingers to type. I was experiencing my fingers locking up to the point where it became very painful to open and close my hands. This condition was called "trigger finger". (This happened to me more than once but usually a shot of cortisone would remedy it) This one time, my one finger was so painful; I couldn't bear the pain anymore, so I opted to have surgery to correct it. I had the surgery and went through a lot of pain and a long recovery time. I swore I would never put myself through that again. Well, I was fine for about a year when I started to have problems again with two of my fingers at the same time. Cortisone shots were not working, but I refused to have another surgery. One night I sat in my bedroom crying with pain and I called to Our Blessed Mother to please help me. I asked her, by all the graces of Medjugorje, to please ask her son, Jesus, to heal my hands. I finally calmed down and fell asleep for the night. The next day my fingers were the same, but I continued to pray for help. Three days later, my pain was gone and my fingers no longer were locking. I have never had another occurrence of this condition to this day.
"I so firmly believe that Jesus and Our Lady love me and do not want to see me suffer. I believe that they will always help me no matter what. I pray every day and give thanks everyday for my many blessings and for allowing me to know God. Sincerely, Cathy Palmer" Cathy's heart-felt prayer was heard. And her perseverance paid off! She understood how much the Lord loves her, and her confidence in His love strengthened her faith. We have a loving God who wants to do miracles in our lives. Why else would He say to us: "Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For every one who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened." (Matt 7: 7-8) Prayer is the key. Pray, pray, pray!! Denis promised me he would share some more stories with us too. We need to build up our faith! Thanks to Cathy for sharing with us her beautiful story!
In Jesus and Mary!
Cathy Nolan
