CMMB: Your Weekly Reflection in Prayer Palm Sunday

Weekly prayer reflection
"Those who followed were shouting: 'Hosanna! Blessed
is the One who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna
in the highest heaven.' Then Jesus entered Jerusalem and
went into the temple."

Palm Sunday
Dear Friends,
How things would change! Today, Palm Sunday, we recall how Jesus enters Jerusalem in a triumphal procession. Five days later, on Good Friday, He is forced to carry the cross through the streets of Jerusalem, a procession leading to His death on Mount Calvary. Yes, it leads to new life on Easter, but the way of the cross is terrifying, and a stumbling block for many.
We look forward to the light and glory of Easter for ourselves, our families and friends, but for us as for Jesus, the victory does not come easy. Let us be strong ourselves, and support one another on our journey to the New Jerusalem.

Christ, King of Glory, You entered the Holy City of Jerusalem in meekness to be made perfect through suffering and death. Give us grace to take up our cross daily and follow You, that hereafter we may rejoice with You in Your heavenly kingdom. You live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit, God, world without end.
Amen
