Jesus asked me to remain continually in retreat in His Heart and accordingly to think about him continually just as if on a formal retreat. Far from being difficult or distracted, this interior exercise allowed me to carry out my daily duties better.....I had a loving, intensive gaze, which was directed to God who dwells in our souls as in His Temple in Heaven. I was so well sheltered in my internal solitude that I had the impression of being protected from external disturbances by four impenetrable walls. I lived there for Jesus alone with Mary my Mother. I was detached from human ambition and aspired to eternal union. It is inexpressible happiness...it is Heaven on earth. Ask God constantly for this grace...prayer often has no words.
