ROME, November 30, 2012 – When, on Christmas Eve of 2009, Benedict XVI launched the idea of the "Courtyard of the Gentiles," he immediately explained its purpose: to keep alive the search for God among agnostics or atheists, as the "first step" of their evangelization.
