Dear Family of Mary!

"...I pray for you and I intercede to God for peace; first peace in your hearts and also peace around you, so that God may be your peace. Thank you for having responded to my call."(June 25, 1992)

Our Mother prays for us that we might have peace. First she prays for peace in our hearts. Truly the healing of our memories brings peace in our hearts. We have a memory that extends back to the very dawn of our existence, in our soul. We remember in a mysterious way the feelings and sensations of our earliest moments. And what we have internalized from those moments shapes us. We have had many joyful and happy sensations, like the warmth of our mother's womb, the safety of being so wrapped in her care, the sound of her voice and that of the others in the family. All these things are familiar, home-like, and speak of our belonging.

But there are often difficult moments that can send shock waves through our system: a car accident, a fight in the family or the loss of a loved one...the list is long. And any one of those things can leave us alone, frightened, confused or in doubt of our future. And so we need to revisit those moments, and let the Lord show us the entire truth of it. He can make sense out of the wound, show us how to forgive, show us how He was present, helping us, etc. Such healing brings peace. Peace in our hearts.

And so we approach the Immaculate Conception, that she can shed her light upon these memories, these wounds, and give us a new sense of ourselves and our lives, a new hope and a new dignity. She can help us be free of fear and anxiety, and ready to see with the eyes of our hearts.

We pray:

Prayer to the Immaculate Conception
O God,  who by the Immaculate Conception  of the Blessed Virgin Mary, did prepare a worthy dwelling place for Your Son,  we beseech You that, as by the foreseen death of this, Your Son, You did preserve Her from all stain,  so too You would permit us, purified through Her intercession, to come unto You.  Through the same Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, who lives and reigns with You in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, world without end.  Amen

Day Four
O Mary, Mother of God, endowed in your glorious Immaculate Conception with the fullness of grace; unique among women in that you are both mother and virgin; Mother of Christ and Virgin of Christ, we ask you to look down with a tender heart from your throne and listen to our prayers as we earnestly ask that you obtain for us the favor for which we now plead...  (State your intention here...)
O Mary of the Immaculate Conception, Mother of Christ, you had influence with your Divine Son while upon this earth; you have the same influence now in heaven. Pray for us and obtain for us from him the granting of my petition if it is in accord with God's will. Amen.
