The Way of Daily Divine Intimacy
I have so great desire to give Myself...who will help Me in this work, if not you, My intimate friends? We are as though in a secret upper room where our merits, united before the Father can reach out for this or that people or nation....multiply your sacrifices. Two or three a day are not many, but when united with Mine can you imagine what a fortune it would be? To pray is itself a sacrifice...You can pray while working and you can take a rest from praying by singing to Me. Then, just look at Me in the silence, in this silence laden with the love that is worth more than whole rosaries that you recite mechanically....Cover Me with your love-all of it....I want to be you, your breathing and the beating of your heart...Try to understand the demands of Love. You see my little child I paid for everything on the Cross for you.
Our Lord to Gabrielle Bossis from "He and I" (note the similarity of God's request to sit in silence with Him and just love Him as He asked of Elizabeth Kindelmann..."may our ears listen to the silence together and may our glances melt in one another." Certainly, we must pray the rosary everyday but He reminds us to pray it slowly with great love and attention).
