Muslims have a very great veneration towards Mary as well. Mary is the figure of unity par excellence; she gathers us together as her children regardless of our religious denominations or race. That is why the feast of March 25th was instituted as an official national holiday in Lebanon at the request of both Christians and Muslims. All this was achieved through my experience with the community of the “Sons of Mary Queen of Peace” (Fils de Marie Reine de la Paix) made up of Muslim and Christian lawyers sharing a Marian spirituality, each according to his own faith, through the Qur'an and the Gospel, and who are committed to spreading this message, making Mary the common denominator and element of unity among all the Lebanese.
