Dear Family of Mary!

Dear Children, I am coming to you as a mother and I desire that in me, as in a mother, you may find your abode, consolation and rest. Therefore, my children, apostles of my love, pray. Pray with humble devotion, obedience and complete trust in the Heavenly Father. Trust as I have trusted when it was said to me that I will bring the blessing of the promise. May out of your hearts, from your lips, always come forth: 'May Your will be done!' Therefore, trust and pray so that I can intercede for you before the Lord, for Him to give you the heavenly blessing and fill you with the Holy Spirit. Then you will be able to help all those who do not know the Lord - you, apostles of my love, will help them to call Him 'Father' with complete trust. Pray for your shepherds and place your trust in their blessed hands. Thank you. (March 2, 2014)

There is great healing in this message from Our Lady. She is offering us rest, consolation, and a safe place to live. She is offering us the shelter and safety of her Immaculate Heart, her Mother's heart, where we can escape the anxieties and dangers of this world. In her heart she will teach us to trust the Heavenly Father as she does, and we will learn to say "yes" to Him. This will be for each of us the greatest gift because we will find ourselves safely in the Heart of the Father as well.

Indeed Our Lady wants to teach us trust in the Father. "Trust as I have trusted when it was said to me that I will bring the blessing of the promise." Our Mother is referring to the Annunciation, that moment when she was asked by the Father to be the Mother of Jesus, the Savior. That moment was a pivotal moment, when the world hung in the balance. I like the way Fr. Albert Shamon describes this moment:

God wanted His Son to enter the world like all other children, namely, by being born into a family. So He inspired the Virgin Mary to marry Joseph.

God also respects the free will of His children; so He sent the Angel Gabriel to win Mary's consent to becoming the mother of His Son.

The Angel Gabriel said, "Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with you" (Luke 1:28)

The Greek Kecharitomene means "one endowed with favor or grace (charis) in a permanent way." So in the Revised Edition of the New Testament, instead of "Hail, full of grace," we have "Hail, favored one! The Lord is with you."

This translation indicates that a favor is meant here, far more than an ordinary one. Gabriel no doubt knew that Mary had been conceived immaculate, in the womb of her mother the good St. Anne; and so He addressed her as highly favored. But he knew her to be doubly favored, because his mission was to ask her if she would become the Mother of the Son of God....

Mary could have said "No" to God's request through the angel. Lucifer said No! So did our first parents! And their No's have brought countless ills upon all mankind. Imagine what further calamities might have visited us had Mary also said No! We owe her an unpayable debt.

In her great love for God and for us, she said, "Yes!" By so doing she brought the Son of God to earth, and our redemption began in earnest. So great and joyful was this event that three times a day church bells ring and God's children pray the Angelus in joyful thanksgiving. (Rev. Albert Joseph Mary Shamon. "A Graphic Life of Jesus the Christ". P. xiv-xvi)

And just think, Our Lady wants to teach us how to say "yes" to the Father just like she did. Think of the great good it could do for the whole world if we all begin saying "yes" to the Father! Just think of the great blessings that could be poured out on the world by our "yeses"!!

May we accept Our Lady's invitation to enter into the abode of her Heart and find our rest and peace there. As we pray the Angelus with the whole Church, may we rejoice at Mary's "Yes" and learn to say our own "yeses" with complete trust in the Father!

In Jesus, Mary and Joseph!
