Our Lady of Fatima
Dear Family of Mary!
Today
we remember Our Lady's coming to the three children of Fatima, Portugal
in 1917. Our Lady called for prayer and renunciation in that
apparition, so that wars could be stopped. She called for prayer of the
Rosary. We know that some of her requests were answered and some not.
World War I did end as she said. But World War II happened because the
response to her call was not adequate. And yet, she promised that in the
end her Immaculate Heart would Triumph.
In
Medjugorje, Our Lady has exhausted all avenues, trying to get our
attention. She has remained with us through her apparitions and her
presence in Medjugorje, in order to train us for the spiritual battle
she is waging. She has given us a daily regimen to build us up in the
spiritual life through her main messages.
In
1991 she revealed the heart of her plan, and showed us the danger. If
you read these 4 messages from 1991 you will see her plan and the reason
for it:
"Dear Children! Today I invite you to pray for peace. At this time peace is being threatened in a special way, and I am seeking from you to renew fasting and prayer in your families. Dear children, I desire you to grasp the seriousness of the situation and that much of what will happen depends on your prayers and you are praying a little bit. Dear children, I am with you and I am inviting you to begin to pray and fast seriously as in the first days of my coming. Thank you for having responded to my call." (July 25, 1991)"Dear Children! Today also I invite you to prayer, now as never before when my plan has begun to be realized. Satan is strong and wants to sweep away my plans of peace and joy and make you think that my Son is not strong in His decisions. Therefore, I call all of you, dear children, to pray and fast still more firmly. I invite you to self-renunciation for nine days so that, with your help, everything that I desire to realize through the secrets I began in Fatima, may be fulfilled. I call you, dear children, to now grasp the importance of my coming and the seriousness of the situation. I want to save all souls and present them to God. Therefore, let us pray that everything I have begun be fully realized. Thank you for having responded to my call." (August 25, 1991)"Dear children! Today in a special way I invite you all to prayer and renunciation. For now as never before satan wants to show the world his shameful face by which he wants to seduce as many people as possible onto the way of death and sin. Therefore, dear children, help my Immaculate Heart to triumph in the sinful world. I beseech all of you to offer prayers and sacrifices for my intentions so I can present them to God for what is most necessary. Forget your desires, dear children, and pray for what God desires, and not for what you desire. Thank you for having responded to my call." (September 25, 1991)"Dear children! Pray! Pray! Pray!" (October 25, 1991)
Our
Lady told us that the situation is serious, that her plans in Fatima
are being realized, that Satan is increasing his activity because Our
Lady is on the move and that the answer to everything is for us to "Pray! pray! pray!"
Let's
meditate on these messages today, and unite our hearts with Our Lady as
she brings in the Triumph of her Immaculate Heart. We who have heard
her call must answer with all our hearts. Let us "Pray! Pray! Pray!"
