Why Suffering and Sacrifice Take Time, But Commit Now
God
can only do us good, and suffering is the greatest giving of one self
when done out of love. The Lord showed us by example this love and He
so wants us to imitate Him. Our attitude must be a perpetual fiat, a
total abandon
ment to God's Will.....so that He may do what He wishes
with us and for us in time and eternity. Have we ever thought about the
magnitude of the eternal reward of imitating Jesus in suffering out of
love? Have we ever really meditated on how many souls we can save with
His help? It is not easy to come to love suffering and sacrifice,
especially sacrifice done daily out of love for God, but when we ask
for God's grace to imitate Him in suffering, how could He deny this
request?
