Dear Children of Medjugorje, praised be Jesus and Mary!
1. April 2, 2015 Mirjana received the apparition of Our Lady in her private room, as she was not well enough to go to the Blue Cross.
After the apparition, she conveyed to us the following message from Our Lady:
"Dear
children, I have chosen you, my apostles, because all of you carry
something beautiful within you. You can help me to have the love, for
the sake of which my Son died and then ressurected, win anew.
Therefore, I am calling you, my apostles, to try to see something good
in every creature of God, in all of my children, and to try to
understand them. My children, you are all brothers and sisters through
the same Holy Spirit. You, filled with love for my Son, can speak of
what you know to all those who have not come to know that love. You
have come to know the love of my Son, you have comprehended His
Resurrection, with joy you cast your gaze towards Him. My motherly
desire is for all of my children to be united in love for Jesus.
Therefore, I am calling you, my apostles, to live the Eucharist with
joy, because in the Eucharist my Son gives Himself to you anew and with
His example shows the love and sacrifice towards the neighbor. Thank
you."
2. The Strategy of Modernism.
Since1981,
Our Lady has given us her favorite piece of advice over 400 times:
"Pray!" Why? Because prayer is the key to holiness, and Mary wants to
take us there by the hand, it's our only future. But don't be mistaken,
she knows that it's not easy to get there! She truly understands the One
who is behind the traps that threatens the journey - your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking some one to devour, (1 Peter 5:8). So she warns us. In her message on March 25th, she clearly showed us the strategy that Satan uses for his attack: modernism! In other words, being bored with God! What's the remedy? Prayer.
"Pray," she said, "and fight against temptations and all the evil plans which the devil offers you through modernism."
Also in May 2010, she said: "God has given you the grace to live and
defend all the good that is within you... but Satan does not sleep, and
through modernism,
he is leading you astray and guiding you to his way." Our Christian
culture is threatened not only by radical Islam, but most of all by our
own weariness with God, which comes from a lack of prayer. Modernism
tells us that God is boring, that we can't possibly know God through the
intellect so we cannot trust Him, or our faith for that matter, and
that we should be skeptical of that which we can't see! It numbs our
identity in God, and our consciences. We replace Christ and a living
faith with the delusions of a secular world without God. Such a culture
seeks to fill its inner void, lack of hope, and loss of identity with
material possessions and the pursuit of earthly comforts. Prayer, on the
other hand, makes our pursuit of holiness a splendid adventure, and it
invigorates our relationship with God!
For the Blessed Mother, modernism can only be defeated through prayer,
which feeds the fire of a living faith. She is pleading with us to
mistrust the culture and to place all of our hope, trust and love in her
Son. She said, "Do not permit Satan to open the paths of earthly
happiness, the paths without my Son. My children, they are false and
last a short while. My Son exists.
I offer you eternal happiness and peace and unity with my Son, with
God; I offer you the Kingdom of God," (8/10/10). Our culture has pushed
God to the periphery and it is up to us to bring Him back into the
center of our lives and our society, through living prayer, (See PS 1).
3. Attempted Assassination? On
April 12th, an interesting anniversary for the Church may have gone
unnoticed. On that day, the "Virgin of Revelation" appeared to a violent
man who was conspiring to commit a terrible crime. His name was Bruno
Cornacchiola, and at the time he was 34 years old. On the 12th of April
1947, Bruno walked through a little town square near Rome with his
children, a little ways from the place where Saint Paul was beheaded,
the Tre Fontane (Three Fountains). He was irritated because his
three children, who were playing in a nearby grotto, refused to answer
his call to return home. So he went into the grotto, and there he found
his children on their knees, staring, as if captivated by a strange
presence. Bruno raised his eyes toward the back of the grotto, and there
stood Mary, holding the Bible in her hands! A cross was lying on the
ground near her, in pieces. It was the very cross that he himself had
destroyed and thrown into the trash bin earlier that week!
For
Bruno, this was the shock of his life, and the start of a complete
turnaround! He fell in love with the Blessed Mother, even though he was a
Protestant, and immediately converted. Then he began an amazing journey
with her. He completely renounced the evil plan he hatched for the
following day: to assassinate Pope Pius XII with a knife! On a wall of
the grotto, on that very day, he wrote: "In this grotto, the Divine
Mother appeared to me. With love, she invited me to return
to the Catholic, Apostolic and Roman Church." Two years later, he met
with Pius XII, and handed him the very dagger that he was planning to
use to kill the Pope. It bore the inscription Death to the Pope! Then, with tears in his eyes, he asked for forgiveness. Bruno devoted his life to making Our Lady known, and she continued to convey messages to him.
Among
these messages, the one dated April 12th is very powerful: "You are
persecuting me, enough! Go back to the holy fold. Let prayers be said
and let rosaries be recited daily for the conversion of sinners, of
unbelievers, and for the unity of Christians." Later on, the Blessed
Mother entrusted him with prophecies, but they have not all been
published yet. They include that the Church will suffer,
the Truth will be forgotten, and many priests will leave their ministry.
Our Lady promised to grant powerful miracles for the conversion of
sinners. She spoke to him also of the three white loves, the foundations of the Church: the Eucharist, the Immaculate One and the Holy Father.
On
several occasions, Bruno also met Pope John Paul II, who greatly
supported Bruno in his ministry of bringing sinners back into the fold.
On behalf of Our Lady, Bruno was able to warn the Pope of a new
assassination attempt, which actually took place in Fatima on February
2, 1982, (see PPS). One day the Pope said to Bruno "You have seen the
Mother of God, so you have to become a saint!"
Bruno
went back to the Father on the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, June
22, 2001. The cause for his beatification has been opened.
For
us today, this is a magnificent illustration of Mary's wishes, of her
pain in seeing our transgressions, and her hopes in forming her
apostles. She is looking for apostles who agree to become one with her
soul, and she is not afraid to recruit them among the worst sinners. The
time has come to answer her call!
4. With
gratitude and joy toward Jesus we have been praying the Divine Mercy
Novena and celebrated the feast of Divine Mercy last Sunday.
Let me point out a detail about the Merciful Christ as shown by Jesus
to Sr. Faustina. When Sr. Faustina saw the Merciful Jesus, of which she
commissioned a painting with the 2 rays coming from His Heart, Jesus was
intentionally looking down. Why? Out of respect for us! He does not
want to embarrass sinners. As a matter of fact, it is a way of telling
us, 'Do not be afraid to come to me in confession, even if your sins are
grave!' When we go to confession let's remember it is the same
merciful Jesus hidden in the priest who welcomes us. Why then should we
fear to pour out, in complete truth, our sins and transgressions when
they are thrown into this Divine Heart that is only mercy and
compassion? (See P.S. 2)
Dearest Gospa,
Mother of Mercy, please communicate to us your motherly heart! We want
to love and to understand every creature as you do. In this way, you
will be overwhelmed with joy!
