We have a total of $8,235 of new requests from priests who are desperately in need of our financial help right now, but we
do not have ANY more money to help these poor priests. As treasurer, it
is killing me that I have to say no to them, especially since I know
how truly needy these priests are. Some of them are literally crying on
the phone to us:
Father John is 77 and needs money for back
rent, before he is kicked out. Father Matt is 74 and way behind on
utilities because he has been laid up from back surgery and not able to
work. Father David is 72 years old and was just released from his work
situation because his arthritis is so bad that he can no longer stand
for eight hours at the local hardware store. He needs help paying rent
and food until he can find another job. These are just three of several
who have contacted us in the last two weeks.
From the bottom of my heart, and out of
love for all the priests who have done so much for you in your life, I
plead to you for help for these poor priests. They need your help right
now. Any amount would be greatly appreciated by them!
So, please, please consider making your most generous gift for them right now on-line at www.opusbono.org.
Or, mail your tax-deductible donation check to Opus Bono Sacerdotii, PO Box 663, Oxford, MI 48371.
If you prefer to donate by credit card over the phone, please call our offices at (313) 937-6305 USA.
I don't know how else to say it, but that the need is so desperately urgent right now!
Thank you so much for your prayers and generous, life-giving support for these poor priests!
Gratefully and with many prayers on your behalf,
Pete
