AN EVENING REFLECTION

'It Is Time That I Myself Gather Them Together' is Our Lady's Message #39 to Fr. Gobbi.

Our Lady is gathering Her priest-sons together so that they get to know each other. She also gathers us together, those who are reading the Messages and these reflections. It's always amazing how we meet people who have the same ideas and dreams, the same love for Jesus and Mary. And when we meet, we feel like old friends, like we have been together and prayed together for ages, yet we are just now meeting for the first time. What a mystery!

Mary says She likes humility. She likes humble places too. Places that are unknown by others. And then, that's where She appears in Her apparitions. Did you ever think about that? Why Our Lady doesn't appear in some great city, or how about the U.N. No, She goes to the little children in places that remind Her of where She and Jesus lived; Bethlehem, Nazareth. She chooses poverty, simplicity, littleness and the ordinary to manifest Herself. Think of LaSalette, Lourdes, Beauraing, Banneux, Fatima, Garabandal, Medjugorje, to list a few; all children, mostly shepherds!

Our Lady is teaching us that this is what She expects of us too. She says, 'I know this is a difficulty for many; and yet, this is necessary for those who wish to encounter me.' We have to be 'just little children!' In Mary's love for us She says that a child never looks at himself but gazes on his mother. And the mother looks at her little child and says 'How beautiful you are; how precious; how good you are!'

So that's the secret, my friends; having a childlike spirit is so pleasing to Mother Mary, She might appear to you too! Let us love one another; be united; look after each other; help each other; O how happy will be Our Mother Mary!
