MY MMP MEDITATION FOR TODAY

Today's Message #20 is short and sweet; titled 'A Way of Acting Different from Yours.'

Our Lady tells Fr. Gobbi to offer his prayers and sufferings for the Her intentions regarding the spread of the Marian Movement of Priests and don't worry about the results or what you see happening because Her ways are so different from ours! She says it is not in numbers that count but in holiness!

Wow! Two things come to my mind right now, one is Our Lord's words to His disciples: "You must be holy (perfect) as my Heavenly Father is holy (perfect)" [Matt. 5:48]. And two, I believe that we, as the Mystical Body of Christ, are being called to great holiness during these days, which could cause our numbers to grow smaller. Sort of like weeding out the garden.

Are we trying to grow in holiness? Are we praying more now, reading Scriptures often (even daily), receiving Holy Communion through daily Mass? That's what Jesus wants from us, I believe, to be as holy as we can get on this earth before we come before the Father in Heaven. Remember Our Lord's words about eating and drinking His Flesh and Blood! (John 6:52) This was shocking to those who heard Him speak 2000 years ago and it is still shocking to a greater part of humanity today! St. Peter said to Jesus: "Lord, You have the words of eternal life!" And Pope Benedict XVI is repeating those words today; all Churches must have the Eucharist to be united with the Mystical Body of Christ!

Mother Mary says, Please not to worry about what is happening around us because God is in control! I really believe that! Our Lady always abandoned Herself to God's Will and never Her own. Both Jesus and Mary taught us this: Jesus said: "Not My will but Your Will, Father," as He sweated blood in agony. Mary said: "Be it done to me according to Thy Will" at the Annunciation, and of course the Lord taught us to pray: "Thy Will be done, on earth, as it is in Heaven" in the Our Father.

Each day I also pray that the Father's Divine Will will reign on earth and that my own will be totally annihilated. And Our Lady said at the end of this short Message to entrust ourselves to Her and She will lead us to great holiness. Amen to that!
