St. Dominic
Jesus must be the center of your day. You must begin each morning by offering Jesus your day. And then everything in your day can belong to Him and be blessed by Him. Each morning you must rededicate your life to Him. This does two things. It gives Jesus joy and it clarifies in your mind that you work for Him and only for Him. The self-will that permeates the world today has contaminated many vocations. We do not wish to do something or we find it repugnant so we simply do not do it. This was never the way to heaven and it is not the way to heaven now. You will often find God's will repugnant to you and you will often have to do battle with yourself to become comfortable in the service to which He is calling you. My friends in Christ, you know that this is the way to heaven. There is a need to overcome yourself. Expect this. If you work in the spirit of obedience to God's will and not your own, it will become easier and easier to overcome yourself and you will move closer and closer to the heart of your Savior. The closer you come to Him, the less you struggle with self-will The closer you come to Him, the less you consider how the world is viewing you. The closer you come to Jesus, the more you will long for Him and seek only Him. This is a good place to be when you are on earth because Jesus then flows through you without obstruction. That stated, the struggles you experience are willed by heaven so do not think that you are not called to great holiness because you struggle. Be content to be small in your spiritual life and Jesus will be big. Humility comes from an awareness of one's flaws and humility is a necessity in your vocation. God is great and you are willing. This is how you are to proceed.
